amrita rao 2012

Amrita Rao won millions of hearts with their sweet portrayal of innocent love in Ishq Vishk. That film made both of them stars and buzz about them linking up in real life too started doing the rounds. They came together four more times but could never recreate that magic – though they came close to doing so in Vivaah, their last film together. Six years later, they just might star opposite each other again. That too for a film being made by Ishq Vishk producer Kumar Taurani. Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet. While Amrita did tell a magazine that she will never say no to Taurani, she is yet to go on record that her co-star will be Shahid. The Kaminey actor is also keeping mum on the subject. We wonder if it’s just the fact that his last few films haven’t done well that is making Shahid cautious, or if he is wondering what to tell his current rumoured girlfriend, Priyanka Chopra. We just hope it all works out because Shahid and Amrita look great together. The pretty girl next door image holds true for Amrita Rao, even after almost ten years in the Hindi film industry. The traditionally beautiful actress made her debut at a very early age with late Raj Kanwar's AB KE BARAS (2002), but it was Ken Ghosh's ISHQ VISHQ, the very next year, opposite Shahid Kapoor, that saw her rise to fame. However SRK's Farah Khan directed, MAIN HOON NA, was undoubtedly the biggest break of her career, where she delivered a spirited performance and won the hearts, despite the presence of stars like Shahrukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and others. When asked Amrita about Shahrukh Khan, and whether she would like to work with him again, she says, "I would definitely want to work with SRK. I have grown up watching his films. Actually I was not paired opposite him in MAIN HOON NA. Shahrukh is the ideal perception of a well bred man, a perfect person for any girl. I would definitely love to romance Shahrukh Khan on screen!" Well, it would surely be a delight to watch the beauty actress opposite the king of romance SRK, and we look forward to something that materializes in that direction. Her first part in 2007 was a special appearance for the song "Heyy Babyy" in the eponymous film, Heyy Babyy. She then made her debut in the Telugu film industry with Athidhi opposite Mahesh Babu. Amrita's movies in 2008 include My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves with Nikhil Dwivedi and Welcome to Sajjanpur with Shreyas Talpade. The following year, she portrayed Nandini in Victory and Mansi in Shortkut opposite Arshad Warsi. Her only release in 2011 was Love U...Mr. Kalakaar!, in which she played Ritu, the main role, alongside Tusshar Kapoor. She acted in Hook Yaa Crook, which is awaiting release. Amrita Rao is currently working in two films which will be released in 2013
